BARDWELL

Bardwell City Council meetings are generally held on the first Monday of every month at Bardwell City Hall, 5746 Planter Gin Road. The most recent Bardwell City Council meeting on June 2 was canceled due to lack of action items.


CEDAR HILL

Cedar Hills Farmer’s Market opens May 9 until October from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month in historic Downtown on Cedar St. between Houston and Main St.


ENNIS

Bluebonnet Market in Ennis is located at 100 Dallas St. in downtown Ennis from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday from now until October. Visitors will find fresh produce, hand-crafted items and unique products from area farmers, craftsmen, artists, and specialty vendors.


FERRIS

Don’t miss Sunsets at the Market – Ferris’ monthly First Friday Vendor Market from 4 to 8 p.m. in downtown Ferris at the Pavilion.


GARRETT

Garrett City Council meetings are on the third Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at 208 North Ferris St. in Ennis.


GRAND PRAIRIE

Grand Prairie’s Farmers Market is open every Saturday through mid-December at 120 W. Main St., in downtown Grand Prairie from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It features locally grown fruits and vegetables, plants, tamales, baked goods, meat, salsa, chips, dips, relishes, eggs, honey, spices, soaps, candles, artisan crafts and more.


ITALY

Italy holds its city council meetings the 2nd Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 161 West Main St.


MANSFIELD

Mansfield Farm & Cottage Market opens May 2 to Nov. 21 bringing local farmers, homesteaders, artisans, craftsman, artists, musicians together for a community market every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon in the parking lot at 703 E Broad St.


MAYPEARL

Maypearl holds its monthly city council meetings on the second Monday of every month at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 104 E. Second St.


MIDLOTHIAN

The Midlothian Farmers Market is an open-air market of local vendors held at Union 28. The 2026 season runs from now through Oct. 31, on Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.


OAK LEAF

Oak Leaf City Council meetings are the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m.


OVILLA

Ovilla City Council meetings are regularly held on the second Monday of every month at 6 p.m. The meetings are held in the Council Chamber Room at the Ovilla Municipal Building, 105 S. Cockrell Hill Rd.


PALMER

Palmer City Council meetings are held the third Thursday of the month from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at City Hall, 650 S. Dallas St.


PECAN HILL

Pecan Hill City Council meetings are the third Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m.


RED OAK

Red Oak City Council meetings take place at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of every month in the Council Chambers at the Red Oak Government Center, 101 S. Live Oak St.


VENUS

Venus has access to several farmers' market options. Randy’s Farmers Market (located nearby on US Hwy 67, just outside Venus) with a wide variety of fresh local produce, seasonal fruits, and local raw honey. You can track their seasonal hours and fresh daily inventory at the FB page.

Turley's Field to Fork Family Farm located directly on English Trail in Venus, is a family-run farm providing locally grown food and fresh farm goods.

Urban Food Farms is on FM 157 in Venus, and offers a variety of urban-grown, farm-fresh produce.


WAXAHACHIE

The Waxahachie Spring/Summer Farmers Market Season begins on Saturday, May 2 with hours from May to Oct., 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 701 Howard Rd., Waxahachie.


In addition to 19 cities/towns in Ellis County (five of which straddle two counties that include Ellis), there are also 18 unincorporated towns; Alsdorf, Auburn, Avalon, Boz, Brisol, Britton, Crisp, Five Points, Forreston, Ike, India, Ozro, Rankin, Reagor Springs, Rockett, Sardis, Telico and Trumbull.
