GLENN HEIGHTS – Traffic at I-35 and E Bear Creek Road in Glenn Heights is expected to continue until the end of year.
The expansion project and new traffic pattern will remain in place through the end of 2025.
The project began on Monday, July 21 as contractors began implementing the next phase of the traffic control plan for the I-35 and E Bear Creek Road Expansion Project.
The closures involving this project include the right turn lane on Southbound Frontage IH35E from Brookside Drive to Bear Creek Road.
Work includes partial bridge demolition, drainage construction, and permanent pavement installation.
The city encourages drivers to plan ahead, follow posted detour signs on the roadway, use E Parkerville Road as an alternate route, and drive safely through the work zone.
