Poor service highlights Red Oak tax office

ELLIS COUNTY – Next time you visit the Ellis County Tax Office, you might want to make sure you doublecheck what you are leaving with so you don’t have to make another trip.

RED OAK – The Red Oak ISD and local sponsors will be donating 1,000 backpacks and a starter set of school supplies to local students next week at the Red Oak Middle School’s preregistration event and annual Back to School Bash.

Ferris approves downtown master plan

FERRIS – A joint city council and planning & zoning meeting was held Monday night in Ferris with public hearings to address both the Comprehensive Plan and the Downtown Master Plan when looking toward the city’s future.

Amber Alert canceled for Waxahachie 11-year-old

WAXAHACHIE – An Amber Alert this past weekend on Friday was canceled on Saturday after 11-year-old female Tanya Jackson was found.The alert was initially issued when the Waxahachie Police Department were made aware of Jackson missing.
Ten Mile Creek Regional Wastewater System is a 24 MGD activated sludge treatment plant on a 100-acre site near Ferris. It provides regional wastewater transportation and treatment services to all or portions of five cities, including Ferris. The treatment plant consists of wet-weather storage, screening facilities, grit removal, three activated sludge treatment trains, tertiary treatment with ultraviolet disinfection, and a solid dewatering facility.
