WAXAHACHIE – An Amber Alert this past weekend on Friday was canceled on Saturday after 11-year-old female Tanya Jackson was found.
The alert was initially issued when the Waxahachie Police Department were made aware of Jackson missing.
A family member posted on social media that Jackson was “an 11-year-old girl presenting herself as a 21-year-old woman on social media and dating apps” and that “she had run away from home multiple times.”
A Facebook post by the Waxahachie Police Department stated they were “deeply troubled regarding the safety and well being of Tanya Jackson.”
She had last been seen in the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Dallas at around 8 p.m. Friday evening.
Jackson was taken into protective custody on Saturday. The Waxahachie PD did not release information on where Jackson was found or additional details relating to her disappearance.
