FERRIS – Atmos Energy began performing routine maintenance on gas lines from Telico to Trumbull on June 26.
The work is being done six days a week from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The huge yellow tank located next to Neck Road and Interstate 45 provides water to pump through the gas lines looking for any leaks.
Atmos Energy periodically performs routine maintenance, according to Michael Cox, manager of public affairs.
“Anyone who thinks they smell natural gas inside their home or neighborhood should act fast!” Cox said. “Leave the area immediately and call 911 and the Atmos Energy emergency line at 1 (866) 322-8667.”
