  BARDWELL Bardwell’s cleanup day will be April 25 from 9 a.m. to noon. ENNIS The Ennis Welcome Center will be displaying art from April 1 – 30 as its “Spring into Art!” celebration. The collective exhibit will feature the talented Art of Ennis EISD students.

Grayson withdraws from runoff for Ellis County Judge

  ELLIS COUNTY – Ellis County Commissioner Lane Grayson, pct. 2, has withdrawn from the primary runoff election in May. Grayson was vying for the open Ellis County Judge against former Ennis Mayor Kameron Raburn.

Parkland Health Clinic planned for Wilmer

  WILMER – Parkland Health announced last week it will be bringing a new public health clinic to the Inland Port and it will be located in the City of Wilmer. The roughly 10,000 sq. ft.

Midlothian Police notify residents of reported scam at retail stores

  MIDLOTHIAN – Midlothian Police recently alerted residents to yet another scam that has been reported at local retail stores.According to police, individuals have been approaching customers near store entrances explaining they are raising money for travel sport’s teams or tournaments.

Bruton re-elected to the NLC Board of Directors

  GLENN HEIGHTS – Glenn Heights Mayor Pro Tem Travis Bruton was re-elected to the National League of Cities Board of Directors last week by NLC’s membership at the organization’s 2025 City Summit in Salt Lake City, Utah.

ROISD Board approves 2026-2027 calendar

  RED OAK – The Red Oak ISD School Board approved the 2026-2027 School Calendar recommended by administration, which has similarities to the current year and includes additional days of instruction.
