ALMA – At Alma’s city council meeting last week the council went into executive to discuss the resignation of the city’s police chief as well as the appointment of an interim police chief.
Alma Mayor Renee Jones did respond regarding the resignation stating, “Yes, we recently received the resignation of our Police Chief, Christian Parker. We are grateful for his service and the contributions he made to our community, and we wish him continued success in his next chapter.”
The city did not respond to emails regarding who will be assigned the role of interim police chief in Alma nor did they respond to Parker’s years of service with the department or his reason for resignation.
