RED OAK – Red Oak ISD and its students are all about making sure the message of the dangers of drug use are first and foremost on the mind. A student group called IMPACT is working to positively promote ROISD students who are staying substance-free.

RO Chamber names Clinton B. Woodward new president

RED OAK – Clinton B. Woodward III, will serve as the new president of the Red Oak area Chamber of Commerce. He earned an MBA in Strategic Management from Western Governor’s University, and a BS in Hotel/Restaurant/Tourism Management from New Mexico State University.

FERRIS – Ferris lost one of its most beloved civic leaders – and its last living World War II veteran last week, when Joe Chapman, with his son and daughter-in-law by his side, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 13. Joseph Harlan “Joe” Chapman was born May 14, 1927, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Local wrestler wins state title

Eve Smith wrestles for a club called Moya out of Oak Cliff. She is a sixth grader at Walnut Grove Middle School in Midlothian. This year she won state titles at the rookie level the novice level and the open level.
