A vigorous storm system running into warm, moist and unstable air across the Southern Plains was the culprit behind the explosive thunderstorm development and subsequent tornado activity.

Red Oak Police make arrests in burglary

RED OAK – The Red Oak Police Department arrested two burglary suspects last week in Lancaster. The arrests came after the two men were identified by a Dallas pawn shop owner as having pawned jewelry taken from a home in the 1500 block of Shawnee Road in Red Oak on Oct. 3 at around 1:10 p.m.

WAXAHACHIE – A 14-year-old male died Monday afternoon in a go-cart accident in the 200 block of Becky Lane.
Multiple emergency responders were called to the scene of the major accident in the northern part of Waxahachie at around 12:50 p.m.
