On Tuesday, Sept. 15, Ellis County Elections Office will join over thousands of other election officials nationwide to take part in the celebration of National Voter Registration Day.

“The goal for this year’s annual National Voter Registration Day is to increase participation in the statewide, county, and municipal elections across the country.
“We want to encourage Americans to register to vote and make their voices heard at the ballot box.
" While national elections get the media attention, local elections in many ways have a more direct impact on people’s lives, including the quality of roads, the schools our kids attend, parks, public safety, and more."
The last day to register to vote for the November 3, 2026 General Election is Monday, October 5, 2026.
