This week, the Gracious Mistress of the Parsonage and Yours Truly had the privilege of attending our youngest granddaughter’s second birthday party. On the way home, I was thinking about the party we just attended. It just does not seem possible that we have eight grandchildren.

Regarding the matter of the separation of Church and State, we must assess the legitimacy and realize the pretense of the matter? To better understand we must return to the time of the Mayflower, to the time of the Declaration of Independence and then understand those things that followed.

Thinking can get me into more trouble than anything else I do. This was no more evident than recently we got a phone call from the bank. When I answered the phone all I could say was, “Here we go again.”
