HOPE FOR TODAY: Where is God in your New Year?

A long time ago there was a King named David. His Kingdom had grown, and he became great in the eyes of his people and surrounding nations. One day he decided to take a census to see how large a Kingdom he had. He was highly regarded as a godly man, but in this case, he neglected God.

The creative power of prayer (part 4)

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the building material of all answered prayer, an actual substance, when activated by believing God, it yields supernatural results.

OUT TO PASTOR: Items NOT on my New Year’s resolution list

Spiritual growth (part 1)

Now we come to the importance of walking in the Spirit and growing in the Lord. We cannot say we abide in God when we are absorbed by our fleshly appetite and deeds; many fail to walk in the Spirit thereby depriving themselves of Spiritual growth.

The creative power of prayer (part 2)

“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man (or woman) avails much.” – James 5:16 In order to see your prayers answered you must employ certain steps as did the apostles, Peter, Paul, the disciples and even our Teacher, the Lord Jesus Christ.

OUT TO PASTOR: My little dear, it’s not warm outside!

Once again, it is the Christmas season, which means I have to put up with people offended by everything, particularly that pertains to Christmas. When I was young, we had a little saying, “Sticks and stones may break your bones but words will never hurt you.
