Marine Corps Birthday Ball celebration set for Nov. 2

ENNIS – The Ellis County Marine Corps League Detachment 1452 will be celebrating the Marine Corps’ 244th birthday by hosting a Marine Corps Birthday Ball at the Texas Motorplex’s Champions Club Event Center on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 5:30–11:45 p.m.

The Ferris Public Library’s “Book a Librarian” program will be ending on Sept. 27. This program allows you to call the library at 972-544-3696 and reserve an hour between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to schedule that time with a library staff member to learn about Microsoft Word, Basic Excel and PowerPoint.
