COMMISSIONERS ORDER BURN BAN

ELLIS COUNTY – The Ellis County Commissioner’s Court approved a burn ban this past week, which will be in effect for 90 days beginning June 28.The burn ban includes all of Ellis County as well as unincorporated areas of the county.

E.C. Sheriff Deputies assist Ennis FD in saving a life

ELLIS COUNTY – There was no further information forthcoming regarding a mid-June incident in which the Ellis County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Ennis Fire Department in a critical 911 operation.

CHILD PREDATOR GETS LIFE SENTENCE

WAXAHACHIE – Carlos Cruz Padron, 77, of Waxahachie, was convicted by a jury and sentenced to the maximum punishment of life in prison with a $10,000 fine for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, according to a news release by Ellis County and District Attorney Ann Montgomery.
