PALMER – At the recent joint meeting of the Palmer City Council and the Palmer Economic Development Corporation, Mayor Kenneth Bateman took a moment to award outgoing PEDC President Mark Varsel with a plaque recognizing his 19 years of public service serving on the Board of the PEDC.

WEEK 7: Red Oak rolls to 63-7 Homecoming win

RED OAK – Quarterback Reggie Moody passed for 220-yards and three touchdowns to lead Red Oak over Waco 63-7 at Billy Goodloe Stadium.Red Oak (6-0, 4-0 District 4-5A Div. I) four-star receiver Taz WIlliams scored on the first drive with a 9-yard catch from Moody.

WEEK 7: Midlothian 49, Granbury 15

MIDLOTHIAN – Bryant Wesco returned two punts for touchdowns and scored a third TD on a reception as Midlothian beat Granbury.After Midlothian (6-1, 5-0 District 4-5A Div. I) forced a punt to start the game, Wesco ran it back 57 yards for a 7-0 lead.

WEEK 7: Midlothian Heritage 42, Mansfield Summit 7

MIDLOTHIAN – State ranked Midlothian Heritage got four touchdowns from Stetson Sarratt and a solid defensive effort against Mansfield Summit in District 5-5A Division II play at the Midlothian ISD Athletic Complex.
