Ferris Bar and Grill, 210 W. 6th St. Ferris, has police concerned with outlaw motorcycle gangs frequenting the facility. A handwritten sign posted on the front door welcoming bikers as long as they did not wear their colors was posted this past week. According to Ferris Chief of Police Eddie Salazar, he did not tell the bar to put up the sign.

RED OAK – Local ExxonMobil Victron Energy is providing $14,000 in grants to Red Oak Independent School District Campuses this year. Victron Energy has provided grants to Red Oak ISD campuses since 2011 through the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Program.

There is a move afoot to abolish the Electoral College and use the popular vote to elect the President. It’s called the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, or NPV. The Constitution says “Each State shall adopt, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors.
