Social media is just like mom’s apple pie, it’s not good to eat a whole pie every day. Over three billion people are social media users worldwide. While social media helps keep the world connected, social media addiction is becoming a global problem that keeps growing.

RED OAK – Representatives of the Red Oak Independent School District traveled to Texas State Technical College’s Waco campus on Thursday to see its technical programs firsthand and talk about future collaboration with TSTC.

Ovilla city council talks bond election

OVILLA – The Ovilla city council held a special meeting Monday night to discuss a bond election to be on the November ballot. A citizen’s advisory committee had recommended municipal facility improvements that included a new police station, city hall and city park improvements.

ROISD picks interim superintendent

RED OAK – At the July 15 special board meeting, the Red Oak Independent School District School Board voted to hire Dr. Ann Dixon as the district’s interim superintendent. Dixon’s career spans more than 45 years, and includes teaching and school leadership positions.
