Essie Mae Hester, 77, passed away in Palmer, Texas on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Essie was born in Talladega, Alabama on Sept. 8, 1942 to Charlie George and Lizzy Beth (Timms) Lackey. She grew up in Ironton, Alabama and graduated from Munford, Alabama in 1960.
