OBITUARY: Gordon Raymond Edwards

Gordon Edwards was born on Dec. 16, 1942 in San Diego, Calif. to James and Ruth Edwards.
The family moved to Texas in 1950. Gordon married Kimberly Root on June 5, 1999 and was married until his death on Jan. 20, 2021.

ELLIS COUNTY – The Ellis County Sheriff’s Department recovered over a quarter of a million dollars in stolen property last week.
The stolen property was recovered thanks to a local resident’s tip.

Wilmer Fire Chief Mark Hamilton spearheaded the virtual tour after Petta welcomed those who were there to celebrate the big day. The station fire fighters were previously housed in was 60-years-old. Fire Station No. 1 is located at 1420 Goode Road.

Long anticipated, Wilmer mayor Sheila Petta, city council members and fire fighters were in attendance for the ribbon cutting and virtual tour of the new station.

Sherman didn’t disclose how he thought he contracted coronavirus.
