    WAXAHACHIE – Quarterback Jerry Meyer III completed 14 of 23 passes for 187 yards and four touchdowns, leading Waxahachie over Mesquite Horn 56-20 on Friday night.

    After running back a blocked field goal for a touchdown to make the score 15-0, Waxahachie recovered a fumble and capitalized on a 22-yard touchdown pass from Meyer to Jordan Thompson-Woods.

    The pair later capped off the first-half scoring on a 32-pass for a 36-7 lead.

    Jordan Smith rushed for 87 yards for Waxahachie.
