MIDLOTHIAN – Julian Ashley rushed for two touchdowns and the Terrell (6-0, 3-0 District 6-5A Division II) defense held off Midlothian Heritage Thursday night at Midlothian ISD Stadium.
Down 7-0 to the Jaguars, Ashley ran 15 yards to tie the score as time expired in the first quarter.
Midway through the second quarter, Tiger quarterback Nolan Hall took a naked bootleg to the right on 4th-and-1 for a 28-yard touchdown.
Terrell extended its lead to 21-7 after Kennan Morrow recovered a muffed punt, and four plays later Ashley scored his second touchdown from 16 yards out.
Heritage travels to Crandall Friday, Oct. 17 to take on the Pirates. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
