MIDLOTHIAN – Running back David Aborisade rushed for one score and caught a pass for another as Midlothian beat Cleburne in a District 7-5A Div. I game.
Quarterback Beau Wendel led Midlothian (5-1, 2-0) with 101 rushing yards while passing for two touchdowns and 149 yards on a 12-of-17 night.
Cleburne (0-6, 0-2) opened the scoring on quarterback Luke Stewart’s 59-yard run 1:30 into the game.
With Midlothian leading at the half, 14-9, neither team could score in the third quarter.
Midlothian took possession with 44 seconds to go in the third and went on a 13-play, 45-yard drive capped by Aborisade’s 3-yard run for a two-score lead with 6:22 left in the game.
