MIDLOTHIAN – The Midlothian Heritage Jaguars claimed a resounding 51-7 victory over the Corsicana Tigers thanks in part to junior running back Za’Ko Davis, who rushed for 210 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 96-yard run.
The team also got some help courtesy of senior tight end Landon Wright, who picked up 96 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Heritage’s offense was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 346 rushing yards. They’re also averaging 38.7 points per game this season.
Heritage, who is undefeated in district, faces off against Kaufman at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8., with a chance to win an outright district championship for the 7th time in 9 seasons.
Corsicana hosts Ennis at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7.
