OBITUARY: James Ullom Jr.

November 11, 1975 – July 1, 2024

James Harold Ullom Jr., 48, of Ferris, passed away on July 1, 2024.

Born on November 11, 1975, in Dallas, to James Harold Ullom, Sr. and Janette Diane (Gilliam).

From a young age he was fascinated by the inner workings of toys and electronics, often taking them apart and fixing them if they were broken. His career included a variety of roles, from auto mechanical work, glass, fast food service and airplane fabrication.

He had a passion for online gaming, billiards, cooking, and smoking meats, especially ribs. He enjoyed spending time outdoors in the garden and with his beloved canine companion, Paris with whom he is now reunited.

Known for his outspoken nature, he never hesitated to share his thoughts. He loved joking around with friends and family, though he sometimes had a mean streak. His favorite movies included the “Fast and Furious” series, and his musical tastes spanned heavy metal, country, hip-hop, pop, and more.

He is survived by his mother Denise Wilt of Ferris, Texas; father James and wife Kris Ullom of Fort Worth, Texas; sister Mandi and husband Junior Condrey of Alvin, Texas; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held 3 – 5 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Green Funeral Home Ferris, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the American Diabetes Association.
