OBITUARY: Francys Ann Shivers

July 4, 1941 – June 10, 2022

Francys Ann Shivers (nee Gregory), was a resident of Ferris for 33 years.

She was born in Denison, Texas on July 4, 1941, and travelled to her final resting place on June 10, 2022, to be with her Lord and Savior and beloved family members who preceded her.

Francys was a loving, cherished wife to Jim Shivers and mother to John, Missy and Wildy. She is survived by her husband, children, sisters (Becky, Martha, and Sue), brothers (Peter and Joe), a grandchild (JT) and a great grandson (Niko).

She is remembered by her family and friends as someone with a gracious and generous heart and spirit who could put anyone at ease just by being around her. She had a young spirt and a dry sense of humor with a hint of sarcasm that could surprise those who didn't know her well. She was an amazing cook and storyteller.

But, first and foremost, Francys was an inspirational artist. In the true sense of the word. She was accomplished and prolific. She studied art every single day of her life and taught art to groups of lucky students over the years. And, even though she made taking care of those she loved her top priority, she somehow managed to find a little “spare” time to create beautiful works of art which will live on to showcase her incredible talent for many years to come.

Heaven has a beautiful new angel. We will miss her here on earth!

Per Francys’ request there will be no public service.
