Duane Yee, 67, was a man whose quiet strength, sharp wit, and deep love for his family shaped every part of his life. A devoted husband to Stacey for 35 years, Duane was her partner, her rock, and her best friend. Their love story began with a poker game and a note that said, “Call me” – and the rest, as they say, is a beautiful legacy.

A 1976 graduate of Ferris High School, he spent 48 years in the trucking industry, retiring as a National Sales Account Manager at FleetPride.

Duane was also a dedicated community servant, spending 25 years on the Ferris ISD School Board, including 17 years as president.

Duane was the proud father of four children: Jenifer Ellis (Josh), Zachary Richmond (Saira), Adam Yee, and Skylar Featherston (Travis). He was the cherished grandfather of eleven grandchildren: Jeremiah, Jace, Jackson, Jazmyn, Travis, Hadley, Casen, Laina, Aubreigh, Kelly, and Murphy. He was also beloved by Adam’s loyal pup, Leah.

He is survived by his siblings Ruben Dougherty, Carmen Dougherty, Ruthie Wilson, Sammy Yee, Kim Tomme, Lori Perkins and Buford Nash, Jr.

He was preceded by death his father Sam Yee, his mother Vivian Nash, stepfather Buford Nash, Sr., and brother Ray Nash.

Duane was known for his dry humor, his servant’s heart, and the way he showed up for the people he loved-always. Whether he was telling a joke, watching a grandkid’s game, or quietly supporting someone in need, Duane lived his faith through action. His life was a testament to loyalty, humility, and the quiet power of love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
