OVILLA – Vertical Church Pastor Brian Treadaway and his wife, Heather, have been named the official Grand Marshals for Ovilla’s upcoming 41st annual Heritage Day.
The couple was officially recognized at the Sept. 14 Ovilla City Council meeting, where they were presented with a celebratory certificate honoring their community leadership.
The community celebration will take place on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the park grounds directly behind Ovilla City Hall (105 Cockrell Hill Rd).
Admission to the event is completely FREE for everyone.
The festivities officially kick off at 9 a.m. with the morning parade, which starts at Ovilla Road Baptist Church and winds its way down to the City Hall park grounds. Following the parade, Celena Rae from the Dallas Stars will perform the National Anthem, capped off by a spectacular antique jet flyover from the Trojan Flyers.
The rest of the day will feature live musical entertainment from Crossfire Serenade and the Midlothian School of Rock.
Families can also enjoy an antique car show, a rock-climbing wall, fire department safety demonstrations, a petting zoo, bounce houses, and a wide variety of local food trucks and vendor booths.
