ELLIS COUNTY – The Ellis County Republican Women are selling Christmas ornaments to help fund its annual scholarship program.

There are 38 official White House Christmas Ornaments available, and each one is a beautifully crafted keepsake from Washington.

The $30 ornaments are individually numbered and complete

with a certificate of authenticity.

Republican Women’s Scholarship Program awards scholarships each year to outstanding Ellis County seniors.

This year the goal is the biggest yet with one $5,000 scholarship and two $1,500 scholarships.

Ellis County Republican Women’s Scholarship Program is funded and managed by the Ellis County Republican Women, an organization established in 1982.

The program aims to invest in local youth while fostering civic engagement and Republican principles.

The 2026 Ellis County Republican Women’s Scholarship Recipients were Amy Horton who graduated from Midlothian High School and will be majoring in Animal Science to become a livestock veterinarian at Tarleton State University and ​Olivia Alvarez who also graduated from Midlothian High School and will be pursuing a nursing degree and becoming a pediatric nurse practitioner, while attending Texas A&M University.​
