MIDLOTHIAN – Midlothian’s 2026 road rehabilitation program in the Old Town residential area began last Friday.
During construction, streets will be open to through traffic but expect some traffic interruption.
There will be traffic control signs and flaggers in place.
The 13 north and south streets that are part of this rehabilitation project make up phase 1 of the $5.4 million project City Council approved for 2026.
It is expected the initial phase should be completed by mid-May, weather permitting.
However, reportedly road rehab will continue in this area throughout the spring and summer.
Overall, the road rehabilitation will involve constructing and resurfacing the road, which will extend the life for up to seven years.
