Midlothian Animal Shelter resumed cat intakes and adoptions following panleukopenia exposure at the shelter on Feb. 27. The animal services staff was notified of a possible panleukopenia exposure involving a cat that was briefly housed at the shelter on Feb. 12.
During that time the staff implemented enhanced cleaning and disinfection protocols and monitored all cats for symptoms.

OVILLA
The Ovilla Trash off and Extreme Green Event will be held on its rescheduled date of May 30 this year from 8 a.m. to noon. Hosted by the city and CWD, the event gives Ovilla residents an opportunity to dispose of items that are not typically accepted with regular curbside trash service.
Residents may bring items such as brush and bulky waste, used electronics, household hazardous waste, appliances, tires and personal documents for shredding. The event queue will begin on Westlawn Drive.
RED OAK
After 46 total years in banking, and 23 years of service to the Red Oak community, Jo Ann Brewer is officially retiring from Prosperity Bank at the end of March. Her legacy of community support is incredible, and she served on the Chamber Board of Directors for many years as well as serving on the Auction Committee.
