MIIDLOTHIAN – Venus resident Jakobi Romone Walker was convicted and sentenced last week in Ellis County Court for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Walker was sentenced to five years in prison.
The incident occurred on March 2, 2025, when Walker entered an assisted living facility in Midlothian and brandished a firearm at numerous employees during their graveyard shift change.
Midlothian Police Officer Rudy Hille responded to the location and confronted Walker in the lobby, disarmed him and took him into custody.
Walker was dating an employee of the facility who he was having a disagreement with at the time. The employee had been given information by a coworker which angered Walker, and was the reason he entered the facility to confront the coworker.
