MIDLOTHIAN – The Midlothian Police Department arrested Dallas Police Department Lieutenant Jeremy Carter on Christmas Eve.
Carter faces charges of driving while intoxicated.
Carter was processed in Midlothian, his blood warrant executed at Methodist, and then arraigned by a judge in Midlothian the following day.
While it was reported Carter was booked into the Tarrant County Jail, according to a source with the Midlothian PD that is not correct information.
Carter was placed on administrative leave by the Dallas Police Department while an internal investigation is conducted.
He has been with the Dallas Police Department since 2008 and assigned to the Operational Technology Unit.
He will remain on leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
