MIDLOTHIAN – Midlothian Chief of Police Carl D. Smith was recently named 1st Vice President of the North Texas Police Chiefs Association.
The NTPCA announced the new leadership board last week at their monthly meeting.
A Midlothian PD Facebook post stated, “As Fiscal Year 2024-25 ends, Mansfield Chief of Police Tracy Aaron ended his term as President.
“The torch was passed to Haltom City Police Chief Cody Phillips, and our own Chief Smith will now serve as 1st Vice President.”
Cedar Hill Police Chief Ely Reyes was sworn in as Secretary of the Board.
Chief Smith will serve as 1st Vice President this year and will advance to President in FY 2026-27.
The North Texas Police Chiefs Association was created in 1960. Chiefs from 17 north Texas counties participate in the association.
