OVILLA – The Ellis County Press has once again been named Ovilla’s paper of record.
The decision was made last week at the Ovilla City Council meeting.
The vote was 3-2.
ECP had been the city’s paper of record for many years, but a few years ago the designation had been given to a competing paper.
The Ellis County Press is also the official newspaper of Ferris, Glenn Heights, Wilmer and Ferris I.S.D.
For a city, the “paper of record” means the legally designated newspaper for publishing official notices. This designation is important for ensuring public notices are officially published and accessible, as required by law.
