PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION AND CITY COUNCIL
City of Wilmer, Texas
In accordance with Chapter 211 of the Texas Local Government Code, the Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council of the City of Wilmer, Texas, will conduct a public hearing to consider the request of Aubrey G and Elizabeth Ann Hester, applicants and owners, to amend the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) to amend the land use designation for a use suitable for Light Industrial (I1) uses for the subject properties:

The purpose of this request is to amend the Future Land Use Map (FLUM). State law requires that zoning should be in conformance with the FLUM. The future land use map indicates that portions of these properties are Single Family Residential while other portions are designated as Town Center. Therefore, this request was made to amend the land use designation to reflect the proposed use(s) suitable for Light Industrial.
The first public hearing, and possible consideration/action, on this zoning request will be held before the Wilmer Planning & Zoning Commission on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at Wilmer City Hall, Conference Room, 128 N. Dallas Avenue, Wilmer, TX 75172. This is a special meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
A second public hearing, and possible consideration/action, on this zoning request will be held before the Wilmer City Council on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Wilmer Community Center, 101 Davidson Plaza, Wilmer, TX 75172.
