ELLIS COUNTY – Ellis County Commissioners Court voted to amend the date for a Public Hearing set for Aug. 19 regarding the installation of stop signs at the intersection of Hoyt Circle and Hoyt Road located in County Commissioner Louis Ponder’s Precinct 3 district.
The public hearing will now be held on Sept. 2 due to confusion with the posting of the required public notice.
According to Ellis County Engineer Zach Gerich, one of the road names has also changed and will need to be acknowledged in conjunction with the public hearing.
Hoyt Circle has now been changed back to its former name, Angus Road.
These roads in question are located, according to Ellis County Judge John Wray, are near the location where the former Superconducting Super Collider facility was located.
