ELLIS COUNTY – As summer gets off to a wonderful start, traffic might not be quite as wonderful.
Waxahachie and Red Oak have several roadway projects this week and next week that could impact your travel time.
In Waxahachie, Stripe-A-Zone began striping Grand Avenue from Main Street to the railroad tracks near Marvin Avenue this past Monday.
Work is expected to last for a week, and alternate routes are recommended.
In Red Oak, nightly TxDOT road closures began earlier this month and will continue through the end of June.
The southbound I-35 Frontage Road, south of the Ovilla Road work which began last week, will be closed until the end of this week.
Local access does remain available.
The northbound I-35 Frontage Road, south of Ovilla Road, will be closed June 28 and 29 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for road work.
