ELLIS COUNTY – You can never honor too many veterans for their unselfish service to this country.
In Midlothian this week, WWII veteran, Iwo Jima Navy Corpsman-Medic, John Boswell – and hometown hero – was honored for his service.
Boswell was inducted into the Texas Veteran’s Hall of Fame including a reception of the Medal of Valor in a ceremony held on the Party Porch at Paws For Reflection Ranch.
Boswell will turn 101 years young this October.
He is one of only three remaining WWII Iwo Jima veterans still alive.
Those in attendance honored and celebrated Boswell’s service to the United States, showing gratitude and acknowledging his noble dedication to his country.
