WAXAHACHIE – Elementary, junior high and high school students may enter their artwork in the Ellis County Art Association’s Annual Youth Art Show in April.
The show is from April 10-12, and student’s artwork will be displayed at the First United Methodist Church, 505 West Marvin Ave, Waxahachie.
“Our organization has a mission to promote the arts and encourage young people to develop their creativity by hosting this annual event,” Barbara Woods said. “I am always excited to see student’s artwork.”
Best of Show awards will be given at the elementary level, the junior high level and high school level.
Best of Show Awards at the elementary and intermediate level will be awarded a scholarship to ECAA’s Summer Art Academy and high school Best of Show will be awarded a gift certificate to Blick Art Supply.
High school seniors will be given the chance to apply for the Mox Moxley Visual Art Scholarship which includes one $3,000 and one $2,000 scholarship. These students must plan to pursue a career in Visual Arts.

Students may submit entries through their art/school teachers and homeschoolers may submit art through their parents.
