The Ellis County United Special Olympics Powerlifting Team had a most successful outing at the Region 10 Powerlifting Meet held at Grand Prairie High School on Saturday, Jan. 18.
The team of 10 powerlifters completed in 3 lifts – the squat, bench press and deadlift – and brought home 17 Gold, 8 Silver, 4 Bronze and a 4th Place Ribbon.
The Region 10 meet is a qualifying meet for the state Winter Games, to be held in Bee Cave, Texas on Feb. 15th.
Ellis County United is a delegation of Special Olympics that provides a variety of inclusive sports opportunities.
