Rep. Brian Harrison is sounding the alarm on Texas A&M using state resources to support LGBTQ recruitment and retention efforts.
Harrison (R-Midlothian) posted on X, “Texas A&M is using state resources to support departmental, college, and university efforts to recruit and retain gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBTQ) faculty and staff. Texans, is this what you want your tax dollars paying for?”
The programs include “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Literatures,” “Sex and Sexuality in History,” and “Seminar in Gender, Sexuality, and Performance,” as well as others.
Harrison’s posts have been met with reaction from the public.
“As the father of a sophomore at TAMU, that would be a hard, “Hell f’ing no!” (That’s about as polite as I can be on this issue.)” Bryan Cline responded on X.
