AVALON – Avalon coasted by the Milford Bulldogs at home Friday night to the tune of 64-14, keeping their perfect season alive. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins, seeing as the team has won six games by 46 points or more this season.
Josh Novak was his usual excellent self, rushing for 245 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.9 yards per carry, and also throwing for 78 yards and two touchdowns. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he’s played.
Avalon pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Milford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Walnut Springs the next time they take the field. Avalon will head out to face Walnut Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, while Milford will host them at 7 p.m. on Nov. 1.
