MIDLOTHIAN – The Ellis County Sheriff’s Department and the Midlothian Police Department were two of 14 law enforcement agencies that took part in the US Department of Homeland Security’s Human Trafficking/Commercial Sex Joint Demand Suppression Operation in Dallas/Fort Worth in September. 

The operation was conducted in four DFW cities over a five-day period.

There were 134 arrests made during the multi-agency sting. Various charges involved human trafficking with the individuals arrested including a nurse at a “major medical network” in Dallas, four “individuals with access to the secure area of DFW airport,” four “non-citizens with final orders of removal,” one pending hire with a major city police department, and one “prominent DFW city employee.”
