WILMER – The city of Wilmer enjoyed a successful 2022 Fall Festival on Oct. 31 with around 300 attendees taking part in the event in City Hall Square.
From face painting to an Eyeball Spoon Relay, Spin-the-Wheel on a Pumpkin, Poke a Pumpkin, Candy Corn Guessing Game, and a costume contest for all ages under 18 years, candy was also generously passed out and the evening was a safe was to spend this year’s Halloween.
Vendors included Mr. Sugar Rush, Light-up toys and balloons, Praise Fellowship Church, along with city staff and volunteers who made the event a success.
The city will also be having a moment of silence on Friday, Nov. 11 at 1:11 p.m. for Veterans Day to honor our nation’s veterans.
The moment of silence will take place at the gazebo by City Hall.
Additionally, from now until Nov. 30, veterans are eligible for unlimited free rides via the AARP Ride@50+SM Program to anywhere they need to go within Dallas County.
