The Waxahachie Indians 7u won the World Series this weekend in Chandler.
“We won 8-7 in the semifinals to Mabank,” said Cindy Rodriguez. “We were losing by 4 in the last inning and came back scoring 5 runs to win the game.”
They were also losing 8-3 to Burleson and then scored 7 runs in 1 inning winning 13-8 – and never looked back. They also won the fastest man contest.
“We put the tournament team together in May so we haven’t been playing together that long – we are so proud of our boys,” said Rodriguez.
