Ennis – After nearly 12 years in operation, FirstLook Boutique of Ennis will be closing its doors on Dec. 31.

The boutique, which serves to provide financial support for the mission of FirstLook Center, first opened in 2009, offering a variety of gently used items including clothing, accessories, decor, kitchenware, and household goods.

FirstLook CEO, Donna Young said, “Unfortunately, a collection of challenging circumstances has made it increasingly more difficult for our Ennis Boutique to support the mission of FirstLook. While we are obviously disappointed to have to make the decision to close the boutique, we remain committed to the Ennis community and our clients.”

The boutique will remain open until the end of the year, Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., closing Nov. 26-28 for Thanksgiving, and December 24-26 for Christmas. As they prepare for this change, all items in the store will be discounted 50-percent or more.

In addition, they will no longer be accepting donations at the Ennis boutique, but will gladly accept new and gently used items at the Waxahachie boutique – Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
