Ellis County Judge Todd little made his first school visit as County Judge on Thursday afternoon - his first visit comes by invitation of 8th grade Social Studies Department Chair Ashley Sweatt, in honor of Constitution Week.
In the visit to the 8th period social studies class, the students were given the opportunity to openly ask questions.
The bright students asked questions related to the education system, public safety, the growth in Ellis County, and the big favorite “the Justice System”.
The meeting concluded with a reading of the Preamble of the United States Constitution, and how it still holds true to all of us today.
“I grew up believing that people perish for lack of vision”, said Judge Little. “As we prepare for the future we must invest in the ‘NOW’ generation, which includes every student within our County school systems. The policies and priorities that we place today will have lasting effects tomorrow.”
