RED OAK – An unnamed Red Oak resident was surprised early Saturday around 5 a.m., when he got into his vehicle in front of his home in the 200 block of Pinewood Avenue in the Coyote Ridge subdivision. A black SUV, possibly a Nissan Armada, pulled in front of his vehicle and two men jumped out and came toward him pointing handguns. The victim was able to reverse his car and back away from the suspects. He immediately contacted 9-1-1 as he watched the suspects get back into the vehicle and flee the scene toward Ovilla Road. Red Oak Police located the suspect vehicle soon thereafter at the Racetrac at 100 Ovilla Road. After a felony stop on the possible suspect black Nissan Armada was conducted three black males were taken into custody with no incident
A record’s check on the Nissan Armada also revealed the vehicle was listed as stolen out of Fort Worth. Two firearms were also found that had been listed as stolen out of Malverne, Ark.
Each of the three suspects, Ahmad Rashad Williams, a black, 17-year-old male from Duncanville, Kobi Michael Cason, a black, 17-year-old male from Dallas and an unidentified male juvenile suspect were arrested.
The two adult male suspects were transported to the Red Oak Police Department.
The juvenile male subject was transported to the Ellis County Juvenile Detention Center and each suspect was charged with aggravated robbery, theft of a firearm and engaging in organized criminal activity.
Williams and Cason were waiting on arraignment for their charges. Police were still waiting for information on the juvenile’s involvement.
