Waxahachie Fire and Rescue deployed another crew to fight 8 Ball Fire in West Texas

 WAXAHACHIE - Another Waxahachie Fire and Rescue crew has been deployed to West Texas to assist with the ongoing wildfire response and to support the communities impacted by the 8 Ball Fire in Armstrong and Donley Counties.

Norwood named new Wilmer City Administrator

 WILMER – The Wilmer City Council unanimously voted to hire Steve Norwood as the city’s new City Administrator.Norwood has been in the position as interim city administrator since Oct. 15.

Purchase of Hutchins warehouse by ICE rejected by owner

 HUTCHINS – Owners of a Dallas County warehouse Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had planned to use as a mega detention center said Monday it will not sell or lease the property to the federal government.

Police seeking help finding suspects

 MIDLOTHIAN – The Midlothian Police are asking residents for their help in identifying three suspects (one female, two male) who committed a crime on Dec, 30, 2025 at the Midlothian Walmart, 400 N US Hwy 67 at around 11:41 a.m.
