RED CROSS ISSUES URGENT CALL FOR BLOOD DONORS

DALLAS – Following a difficult Fourth of July week for blood donations and ongoing challenges finding new blood donors, the American Red Cross now faces a blood shortage and has issued an emergency call for eligible individuals of all blood types to give now and prevent delays in medical care.

Former SAGU student sentenced for death of newborn daughter

WAXAHACHIE – On Wednesday, July 10, in the 40th Judicial District Court of Ellis County, Natalie Annell Weaver, 21, of Springfield, Missouri., pleaded guilty to a 2nd degree felony charge of manslaughter and to a state jail felony charge of abuse of a corpse.

2019 Ferris Police Department Gazebo-A-Thon collects over $5,000 for Ferris students

Beginning at 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, FPD volunteers braved the heat and hot pavement and collected donations from passing motorists on downtown Ferris street corners and intersections. This year’s goal was $2,500, but the Ferris community stepped up – and gave a whole lot more.
